I really like this camera January 8, 2009 Tash (Trinidad) Really a four and a half stars. Lots of goodies on this one. Great optical zoom! Battery lasts a long time. Easy to use. Guys with big hands will find it easier to use than smaller pocket-sized cameras. Nice sized screen. Only real drawback is the delay after taking a shot, which makes it very difficult to take shots in rapid succession.
Well Suited For Me ! January 6, 2009 C. Bertrand (Nashville, Tennessee) This is my second digital camera and I love it so far. My uses for this camera are for three main reasons: 1. To take pictures of my grandchildren, (close ups are great!) 2. for uploading and posting my fiber art, on my website, bertrandland.com and 3. to take nature pictures as a hobby. The screen is nice and large. I have to be careful not to put a fingerprint on the screen when I pick it up, however, since I like to use my tri-pod, this does not happen often. Even if it does, it wipes off easily. I still have more to discover about this camera and keep my book handy. I really do like it.
Disappointed January 6, 2009 blackie (Costa Rica) The camera takes great pictures and videos, but it has one big problem: It takes around 5 seconds to load the picture you just took, making it a slow camera. With the cameras outhere nowadays, this sort of thing shouldn't happen. It is definitely disappointing to have to wait so long to see the picture you just took, and to have to wait so long to actually take another picture. This happens only using the flash, so at least you won't have this problem during the day. The other minor problem is that it is way too big.. it is not a pocket camera that's for sure. If you're looking for a small camera don't buy this one. Aside from those problems, the camera is very good, your typical cannon camera.
get over yourselves!!!! this is a great camera! December 31, 2008 J. Ard (Hattiesburg, MS United States) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I don't understand why some of you are being so harsh on this camera. I think it is an absolute great camera and I have no regrets buying it. I have taken some absolutely beautiful pictures with this and cannot think of one thing that i do not like about it. Its easy to operate, it takes beautiful pictures, what else do you need? Some of you act as though you are in photography school. If that is the case, then you are probably right. This camera is not for you. For the rest of us who want a nice camera to capture vacations and memorable events (or just everyday life), then there is absolutely nothing wrong with this camera. So to those of you who saw the 2 star rating and was like "wow" i should not purchase this camera. Do not pay them any attention. They have too much time on their hands and need to realize that the majority of us are not looking for a camera to capture a butterfly's backside 2.4 miles away. Thank you.
Slow charge time for flash between shots December 29, 2008 Paulo Nascimento 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The pictures are great, but unfortunately the time in between shots that the camera takes to charge the flash is unbearable. It is not practical for our needs. We were not expecting DSLR speed between shots we were expecting the same time as our older Canon A95.
