Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Casio?s EXILIM series was born with the appearance in 2002 of a ?wearable card camera? ? a digital camera with a very slim form. The new EXILIM Card EX-S10 maintains all of the powerful functionality of the cameras that were later developed in that line (high pixel count, zoom functionality, LCD monitor, photo functions, etc.) but it also embodies a return to a stylish thin form and a strong design presence.

5 out of 5 stars The perfect handy camera   October 24, 2008

My husband actually bought this little camera for himself because I am always complaining to him that I am never in any of our family pictures. I have a big, fancy SLR camera that takes great pictures, but is so bulky and difficult to cart around to certain events. Also, I have a high definition cam corder that also creates great high quality video, but the files are so huge and difficult to upload to the web to share with family.

This little camera is perfect for anyone wanting to take casual pictures and videos on the go. I use it everyday to capture random moments in my family's life. I upload pictures directly to my blog almost everyday, and I am also able to easily upload videos to YouTube. This is the perfect camera for me, especially with two little kids growing up so fast. I captured my daughter's first steps recently and immediately uploaded the video to my blog and YouTube so that family in different parts of the country could share in the moment.

5 out of 5 stars high marks   September 1, 2008

i didn't expect this camera to have all the functionality of a DSLR. it is just a great ultracompact camera you can take everywhere. it takes great photos, although maybe not on as many dimensions as good DSLR's. for example continuous shooting is not fast except in 2 megapixel mode. and there is a lot of noise using higher ISO settings. but all in all it is a great ultracompact and i give it five stars. sue me.

3 out of 5 stars Too slow if you are trying to capture pictures of your children   August 26, 2008

Even though the reveiws I read gave this camera high marks for speed, I didn't find that to be true. Even with a high speed memory card, and all the bells and whistles turned off, the response time was too slow to capture my grandson in action.....or even quickly enough when I had his short lived attention. I wouldn't buy it again, nor recommend it.

Also, even though the Amazon Marketplace providors are supposed to allow you 30 days for return, 17th Street Photo wouldn't make a refund or even an exchange. Their cut off is 7 days. I have purchased things from them previously with no problem. I just didn't agree with their return policy, since it isn't in line with the information on the Amazon page about Marketplace returns.

5 out of 5 stars Just great!   August 19, 2008

I love the camera. I had a previous model which was just as good. I am really happy with the Casio Exilim. Compared to other small cameras like that I was especially looking for a very slim camera which fits in my very slim purse. This digital camera is basically the only such slim one with lots of features. I can recommend it.

My wife and I have been amazed by the quality and features of this camera. This is our favorite product purchase in several years.

Picture quality: excellent

Interface: outstanding; very intuitive

Video/audio quality: surprisingly good

Whiz-bang features: remembers specific faces of family members so that it can prioritize them when focusing; can be set to snap photo when primary subject smiles; video can be set with 5 second buffer, so that you capture previous 5 seconds whenever you press record
