Mac's camera January 6, 2009 Lawrence M. Ausbon (Greenville, NC) I inserted batteries and took four pictures. The camera would no longer work. I went to the battery store and bought new batteries specifically for a digital camera. It would still not even turn on.
Keeps Going & Going! 5Yrs Perfect Performance! October 31, 2008 xoxo (AL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When a digital camera outlasts the Energizer Bunny, you know you've found an exceptional product. This camera has been wet, dropped out on the highway and bounced along the pavement for some time, ran over in the driveway, chewed on by the family pet, been left in high temps, been frozen to the porch, and been dragged through the swamp, sandbox, woods and things you might not want to know about. BUT IT STILL FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY! Takes wonderful detailed pictures. Even with the duct-tape holding the battery door shut, which broke years ago. You won't get many pics and no video with regular AA batteries. They aren''t strong enough. I suggest investing in special digital camera AA batteries like to get more results.
Great Value - After 4 years still our only digital Camera! January 1, 2008 Mike From Lincoln Park in Chicago (Chicago, IL USA) We bought our Kodak DX6340 in December 2003 after much research. You never truly know the value until time has passed - and over 4 years have passed and I can tell you we still use it all the time and it is our only digital camera - we haven't purchased another camera since we bought it! Reliable - solid - easy - all the things one wants in a point and shoot. Never a problem with and doors or openings or anything. Be sure to get the rechargeable batteries and get an extra memory card and that's all you need! This is a great value camera!
Don't purchase!!!! Waste of $$$...Broken Battery door November 13, 2007 S. Pope (FLOrida) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this camera, as well as the CX7300 model. As the other reviews have stated, it's a great camera...until the battery door breaks. I had this camera for just about year when the door cracked. It worked for a little while after that with duct tape, but that doesn't even work anymore. Then shortly after it happened to the other model. I think it is a shame that Kodak made these wrong and will not repair them for free. May I recommend the Canon A550 or A560. Don't waste your money on this one or any other Kodak camera.
